60 Mile Walk for Breast Cancer

Published by under Affiliate Marketing, Breast Cancer

I read a post on Abestweb that Missy Ward was forming an affiliate marketing group (Affiliate Marketers Give Back) that will fly to Seattle September 12th - 14th and walk 60 miles over 3 days to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. I quickly asked my bosses if I could go and walk on the behalf of MarketLeverage and they whole heartedly agreed. They loved the idea so much they will match any donations that are made in my name or Jen Fluker’s name. Jen is an affiliate manager for MarketLeverage. I received my first donation today from Max at Money Bites. Thanks Max! If you would like to donate in my name please click here! Any donation that you make will make a difference!

I Love the Beach!

Published by under The Beach

I spent the last two nights at the Ocean Walk in Daytona Beach with my best friend. Good times are always had by all at the beach! I think it is impossible not to have a good time at the beach. I arrived on Thursday evening. I drove straight from work to the beach. I met up Brandy and her family at Johnny Rockets from dinner. Then we headed down to the boardwalk to play games in the arcade.

I took Friday off of work. I couldn’t have picked a more gorgeous day to have off from work. It was sunny and breezy all day. It is one of those days that you just want to inhale and remember it forever. Time always goes by soo fast when you don’t want it to. We were laying out at the pool soaking up the sun by about 9:30 - 10:oo a.m. We were started on our first drinks by about 10:30 a.m. We spent the day laying next to the pool, floating in the lazy river and sipping tropical drinks!

Friday night we played a dice game called LCR It was really fun! I probably liked it because you play with money and I won twice! Then we proceeded to do Tequila shots. Four shots later and the bottle was empty and there were no takers on finishing the Grey Goose.

By some miracle I woke up and felt fine this morning. We packed up the condo and headed down to the pool around 11:00 a.m.. We drank a few Pina Coladas and ate a cheese burger in paradise! We floated around the lazy river for a long time soaking up the breezy sunny weather.

Easter Beach Run

Published by under Easter Beach Run

Even though I have been sick since Saturday I am going to try and run in the Easter Beach Run this weekend. You can choose a two or four mile run along the “World’s Most Famous Beach”. I chose the 2 mile run! I have been trying to run after work so that I won’t be the walker in the group of friends I am going with. I doubt I will get out and run much this week. Oh well, it will be fun! It will be a nice way to build up the 5K I am running in next month with the people that I work with.
